I know most of us have been running around, trying to find the perfect gift. I ordered some gifts through the mail for my grandchildren and wanted to have them, when I went to go visit them last week. I was disappointed because I had to go visit my grandchildren without the toys, I know they would have enjoyed! I gave them a gift they would need and told them that the present I got them was in the mail.
It is so rewarding to give someone you love or care about something for Christmas. But don’t forget to share the perfect gift of all: God gave his one and only Son for you and me. Jesus died on the cross, shed his blood so that our sins could be forgiven. Through this precious gift we may have eternal life through him.
The Bible predicted this would happen over 2000 years ago: He was abused and punished, but he didn’t open his mouth. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. He was like a sheep that is silent when its wool is cut off. He didn’t open his mouth. Isaiah 53:7
There were numerous people that lived and witnessed Jesus birth, life, death and resurrection.
One of the closest believers and witnesses that was present in Jesus time wrote this: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Because of this precious gift, I seek God daily through prayer, reading His word (the Bible; to learn about other people that have dealt with their struggles in life and to learn about God’s values and desires for my life.) I also go to church to praise and worship Him and unite with other believers.
Have a Merry Christmas and remember that Jesus is the reason for this Season !!
